As educators at the school or university levels, we all have ties to fossil fuel investments through our pensions and/or university endowments. We call on all educators to help join the movement initiated by 350.org to divest from the world’s top 200 fossil fuel companies. Toward this end, we set up this website to share a brief and resolution (2017 resolutions here and 2016 resolutions here) prepared to support a campaign to divest an educators’ pension fund based in Ontario, Canada: the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP), as well as another large public pension fund, the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS). We hope that this brief and resolution may be of use to other educator unions and organizations as they consider joining this crucial campaign.
Sign the petition here! But don’t forget to bring this resolution to a vote in your union or organization: in Ontario, it’s crucial that all educator unions and stakeholders (ETFO, OSSTF, OECTA, AEFO, CUPE, RTO) are behind this, along with the provincial government.
We’d love to hear from you. Fill in your contact details below, ‘like’ us on facebook or follow us on twitter. We can do this together!

This is the right web site for anybody who wishes to find out about this topic.
You know a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally would want to…HaHa).
You certainly put a brand new spin on a subject that’s been written about for decades.
Excellent stuff, just wonderful!
